Hello, and welcome to my blog. 
My name is Sweetie, and I am a small hamster living in Nanning, in China.
My Daddy lives near Edinburgh in Scotland, which I hear is a long way away.
He supports a charity called Fife Headway. They are a group of volunteers who offer support and advice to people in his local area who have suffered Brain Injuries, their carers and families, and I am helping him to raise funds for them by running as far as I can every night.
The wheel in my cage has a meter on it so that Mummy can see every morning how many times I have run around it throughout the day and night. She then tells Daddy, and he calculates how many miles, or kilometres, I have run.
Daddy records all the information on a spreadsheet (whatever that is), and we want you to see if you can guess how far I can run in any single 24 hour period.
Before Daddy started up this sponsorship idea my all-time record was 14.16 miles or 22.79 kilometres !
Daddy has been keeping records of my progress for this sponsorship thing since 14th May 2010, and the winner will be the person who makes the closest guess to my best daily total by the soccer World Cup Final on 11th July.
Unfortunately we can’t offer you any prizes because that would make it gambling, but you will get lots of kudos because I will tell the world on here !
In order to submit your guess into the competition all you have to do is make a donation to Fife Headway by clicking on the JustGiving badge in Column 3. Any, and all, donations will be very much appreciated by Fife Headway.
Of course you don’t have to make a guess if you don’t want to… you could just make a much appreciated donation; but you cannot guess without making a donation.
